Those who have been fishing on Sugar Lake for any amount of time will tell you that what the lake lacks in quantity of fish, it makes up for in size. In 1967, Sugar Lake was actually chosen as a muskellunge lake. Sugar Lake’s water clarity and size make it an ideal habitat for muskie, among other fish like walleye, largemouth bass, and crappie.
