Opportunities to enjoy our community are endless for homeowners and cabin owners in and around Annandale with many wonderful annual events. Annandale’s Chamber of Commerce and civic groups like the Lion’s Club, Kiwanis and ACT (The Annandale Area Community Team) provide family-focused, cultural, and holiday-themed fun for all ages throughout the year.
Each Spring brings the Business Expo and Annual Lion’s Easter Egg Hunt, followed by a Memorial Day Parade and the popular Chili Cook-Off in late May. Summer overflows with bi-monthly Concert’s in the Park, the Farmer’s Market, and the largest event of the year, a 5-day historic Fourth of July Celebration that is one of the oldest in the state. The Heart of the Lakes Triathlon in July is 30 years strong and neighboring communities like South Haven, Fairhaven and Clearwater all celebrate with parades and amusement in the summer months. Pioneer Park hosts events throughout the year, from a Bluegrass & Fiddler’s Festival, Pancake Breakfast’s and Halloween Spectacular - a favorite for families. The Chamber Businesses Trick-or-Treat event should not be missed with the little ones!
December brings special shopping events downtown, the Lion’s Breakfast with Santa and Annandale has been fortunate to enjoy stops by the Canadian-Pacific Railway’s Holiday Train for a number of years. The show is a tremendous fundraiser for the food shelf and brings thousands to the end of Main Street and Memorial Park. A new event anchoring the year is the New Year’s Eve Ball Drop at Clock Tower Park. Through the academic year, art and athletic fans can support our youth in various performances and games. Red and black reigns in Annandale, and hometown pride is always strong in “Cardinal Territory.”
