Al Jorgensen -
Realtor®
Al came to Annandale in 1996 after many years spent working in Southern California and in Minneapolis. An education in basic electronics in the US Army lead him into a number of highly-technical positions in California, designing analog and digital electronic equipment.
A native of Hutchinson, MN, Al returned to Minnesota to work as a Program Manager for Control Data, later as Director of Marketing and Product Development for Creste Electronics, and sold real estate for Merrill Lynch Realty, Prudential Realty, and Burnet Realty in Fridley. After years of enjoying their cabin on Lake Shaminau, he and his wife Lorraine decided they wanted a permanent home on a lake.
They found Annandale – blessed with beautiful lakes, excellent schools and a convenient location between St. Cloud and the Twin Cities – and a perfect spot on Lake Francis. Al had always enjoyed selling and working with people, and joining Oak Realty gave him an opportunity to continue doing that type of work. Having previously worked for some larger real estate companies, Al liked the team approach and integrity that Oak embodied. He says the atmosphere at Oak is one of the best and notes that driving around the area lakes and showing people what they have been dreaming about hardly feels like a job.
Al and Lorraine have three grown children and eight grandchildren, and love spending time fishing and boating with them on Lake Francis. Al also enjoys doing some hunting and traveling. He is a Kiwanis member and current President of the Lake Francis Lake Association.
